ila and bertie was started in 2017. After working in the fashion and jewelry industry in NYC, I realized my passion for designing and creating my own pieces and moved back to my home state of Texas to pursue my dreams! Constantly inspiried by the southwest pieces my family passed down and by the style of the 70s, ila and bertie was created to pay homage to the past with a modern and funky flair. Focusing on hand embroidery and sterling silver jewelry with natural stones, all pieces are handmade in my Texas studio to accompany you on all of your adventures! In 2019, vintage by ila and bertie was introduced! All pieces are curated along my travels. I hope ila and bertie pieces become a special part of your collection that can be passed down as an heirloom piece for years to come.
